My Personal Facebook Page
This week in my ALES 204 lab we had the opportunity to create a personal Facebook page. Although I have had a profile for many years now, I have never given much thought into creating my own page that anyone can view. I think these pages could be useful for some individuals who are well known, if people know their name, but I am still uncertain if I think pages such as the ones we created are useful for the average individual. My uncertainty stems from the idea that I unsure of how people would search to find the page without knowing my name. I feel that these pages could be very useful if they were more easily found.

Personal Facebook Pages are a very useful marketing tool for a individuals, companies, community groups, sports teams, etc. (so long as people know what to search to find them). They are useful because they allow the group or individual involved with the page to get their information out there. It is also very useful because pages such as the ones we created are easily updated (you can add links, new posts, deals/promotions happening, and company updates without much effort). Because Facebook is such a widely used social media tool you never know who will stumble upon a page and get involved or take interest. Due to this fact Facebook can be a very useful way to get yourself known.

As I was surfing the internet I found a Blog post about using Facebook for business purposes. They have some very useful tips about how to create and what to say if you want to develop a Facebook page for your own business.
